A home practice is a way to guide you home to yourself. You learn how to listen to yourself, your body and feed your spirit. It requires discipline, willingness and commitment to show up. A practice that you do for yourself to feel good and fill up your cup doesn’t require hours of your time. I believe it is more profound to commit yourself to 10-15 minutes a day, rather than a 90 minute class once a week.
If we allow ourselves to integrate a few minutes everyday to a practice or if you want to call it a ritual, we can dive deeper into our own healing. Soothing our nervous system, releasing tension in our body, and feeding our soul. We also learn to BE with ourselves.
In a home practice you ask yourself:
What do I need?
What do I want?
Do I need rest?
Do I need to be energized?
Do I need to stretch my chest?
Do I need to connect with my foundation?
When we ask ourselves those questions we learn to listen and we deepen our connection to our body.
You might know that you need to rest or work on your balance or learn how to breathe deeper. But where do you go from there? How do you rest or work on your balance or learn how to breathe deeper? I built this library just for this in Bliss Yoga House. It is a growing library of yoga sessions crafted to guide you home to yourself. Sessions are organized in different categories so you can easily find what you need.
You deserve to fill up your cup and feel good. Your body is worthy of your presence.
"The only discipline it requires is for you to show up and be true to the part of yourself that is committed to moving. You'll soon learn to listen to your body and to do what's appropriate for you in the moment. We're constantly changing and any practice meant to serve our authenticity should reflect our fluid nature." Gabrielle Roth, Sweat Your Prayers
