Bliss Yoga House & my why

I created Bliss Yoga House because I wanted something like this myself.

I wanted a space that values slowness, gentleness and beauty. A space that also values movement, rest and rejuvenation. A space where sustainable yoga is offered.

Putting together yoga sequences and sessions that are good for the body is very important to me. Earthy yoga sessions that leaves you feeling grounded and calm, not exhausted is something I always strive for.

For years I went to yoga classes that made me feel exhausted and a lot of times not good enough because I couldn’t do all the fancy poses. I remember asking myself why am I doing this? What is this for? I started yoga in 1998 to heal my body. But many times the yoga classes didn’t feel like they were healing, only putting stress on the body. I think it is very important to know and understand why we are practicing yoga. Or why we want to start a yoga practice.

Some people love hot yoga, some like yoga that feels more like a work-out, some wants only yin and restorative, some only ashtanga. We are all very different.

It has taken me years to figure out that walking my own path is ok. Listening to my own body and diving deep into acceptance and feeling it out has been a long journey.

Are you drawn to yoga because of the healing benefits? Do you want to find more calm and ease? Do you want to connect to yourself and your body? If so, Bliss Yoga House might be for you…

BYH has a lot of yin ENERGY. Not yin yoga sessions but the quality of yin. I believe we need more of yin energy in the world. Yin qualities are so healing; Resting. Yielding. Being. Allowing. Gentleness. Calming. Slow. Internal. Feeling. Circular. Earth. Intuitive. Ease.

I wanted to create something that felt cozy, safe and grounding, and also brought a sense of freedom within. Like you’re stepping into a cozy house that’s filled with warmth and tools to calm, soothe and inspire.

So if you feel called to join, the doors are open!
